Biography :
Joe Proietto was a Professor of Medicine, in the Department of Medicine Austin Health, University of Melbourne. He is a past President of the Australian and New Zealand Society Obesity Society (ANZOS) and was the Chair of the Program Organising Committee for the 10th International Congress of Obesity Sydney. He has been on the Council of the Australian Diabetes Society and has served on the Board of Diabetes Australia acting as chairman of its Medical Educational and Scientific Council. He was Chairman of the National Association of Diabetes Centres. He has published over 170 papers.
